Engineering Data Analyst
CurrentOverall Job Purpose Analyse product and process data on both sensor performance and manufacturing equipment, to identify and subsequently implement improvements. Convert data into management information to drive process improvement, leading to a more robust and reliable product. The primary focus is to analyse data and help implement controls on key Production & Test equipment, both existing (e.g. current wind tunnel, burn-in, paint) and new equipment brought online (e.g. new wind tunnel). Most of the computation are performed in Matlab R2014b environment.Main tasks and responsibilitiesProduction & Test Equipment – Implement Statistical Process Control Implement statistical process control and reports on current production wind tunnel to strengthen process control and data consistency, and to identify non-conforming issues Analyse data and trends from sensor testing at internal and external wind tunnels to validate FT product & processes Analyse customer data on FT sensor performance Support the introduction of the new wind tunnel to production by implementing robust data and process controls to manage tunnel performance and ensure product conformance Implement robust production controls on other production equipment, e.g. burn-in data, control of paint application Use programming and analytical skills to drive improvements within FT, for example using SQL, VBA, Access to turn data into information for running the production & test and across the companyEngineering Automation & Equipment Design – Data Process Integration Support new wind tunnel project with data communications to connect the system control and robotic automation to FT’s end-to-end data management systems Support the definition and integration of appropriate data collection and analysis in new product, equipment, programs and processes developed under New Product Development (NPD) projects
