I am a board-certified neurological surgeon with fellowship training and more than 21 years of experience in advanced spinal surgery and pain management. My practice includes eight patient clinics throughout the Chicagoland region, Wisconsin and Indiana where I stress conservative, non-invasive, or minimally invasive management of spine disorders and pain management. Surgical intervention is used only as a last resort.I have four hospital and three surgery center affiliations. My sub-specialties include the treatment of degenerative spinal disorders, minimally invasive spinal surgery, complex reconstructive spinal surgery and work related injuries. I have training in brain surgery, vascular surgery and skull-based tumor resections. Recently I have restricted the focus of my practice to the treatment of spinal disorders and pain management. I have authored original publications and have traveled the country as a guest-speaker/instructor. I currently hold eight U.S. patents, which have advanced the field and efficacy of spinal surgery in a motion-preserving and minimally invasive fashion. I also have four U.S. patents pending. I maintain active memberships in several professional societies to remain at the forefront of neurosurgical techniques, including AANS, AASP, CNS, ISMS and NASS.
