Risicobeheersing is cruciaal voor het succesvol realiseren van een bouwproject. Ik hou me als risk engineer al bijna 25 jaar bezig met risicobeheersing van de belangrijkste technische risico’s van bouwprojecten. De projecten variëren hierbij van hoogbouw tot uiteenlopende civieltechnische constructies zoals binnenstedelijke bouwkuipen, boortunnels, snelwegen, kadeconstructies en offshore windparken. Op 1 februari 2024 stap ik over van Lengkeek naar Swiss Re waar ik me als Sr. Risk Engineer fulltime zal gaan richten op het beheersbaar maken en houden van de belangrijkste risico’s van bouwprojecten (risico’s voor het project zelf en de directe projectomgeving).Risk management is critical to the successful completion of a construction project. As a risk engineer, I have been involved in risk management of key technical risks of construction projects for nearly 25 years. The projects range from hugebuildings to diverse civil engineering structures such as inner-city construction pits, bored tunnels, highways, quay structures and offshore wind farms. On February 1, 2024 I will start within Swiss Re where I will be focusing full-time as Sr. Risk Engineer on making and keeping the most important risks of construction projects manageable/controllable.
