About Michel Ter Hark

As an analytic philosopher I have written numerous papers and one monograph on the philosophy of Ludwig Wittgenstein. I have given many talks at international conferences.As an historian of psychology I have written numerous papers on the history of cognitive psychology, including the genesis of Karl Popper's philosophy of science. I also wrote a book (Cambridge University Press) on Popper and Otto Selz, of which a paperback version appeared in 2007.I've been dean for more than 10 years of the most successful Faculty of Philosophy in the Netherlands at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. In 2012 I moved to Amsterdam, becoming dean of the Faculty of Arts. I gave the 'Dies' lecture at VU University in 2012.As of 2013 I am back at philosophy as well, having been appointed as dean of the Faculty of Philosophy.
