Design and development of software to find putative ​TFBS (Transcription Factor Binding Sites) in the context of a scientific publication about RX1 gene studied by the laboratory La Fontina of the University of Pisa.The first version of the software used the UCSC Genome Browser Database from php command line on Linux system. The software implemented web scraping techniques and was integrated with some components of the MEME Suite.In the second version PHP was left in favor of Bash. Third-party programs, such as MEME suite (the FIMO component), Eponine-scan and Possum were easily integrated in the process pipeline.
