Sanitation Marketing Scale Up Program (SMSU) – Applying my business and management experience to the development sector, I am overseeing a team of over 200 people dedicated to Sale and deliver over 300,000 latrines leveraging innovative Sanitation Marketing and Lean Supply Chain management techniques to boost household toilet access in deep rural Cambodia. Some of my personal achievements in this position include:- Innovation: Initiated products, services, and process innovations including Load Balancing, Pit Gauge, Ring Shelter, Interlock Brick shelters, Alternating Dual-Pit, QR-Code based smart-subsidy delivery mechanism.- Operations: Completely rebuilt the program’s core sales and supply chain management process around a cloud-based Management Information System- Fund Raising: I was part of the core business development team that successfully raised over 20 million in funding for iDE WASH Cambodia.

Regional integration – DFDL is a leading legal and tax advisory firm in the ASEAN Region, with over 250 staff, in 11 offices across 8 countries. The Regional CEO position was created to address the challenges emerging from its business growth and footprint expansion. I was hired the Regional Managing Partner, with the mission to transform a network country-centric practices, into an integrated regional tax and legal advisory firm.

Acquisition, Turnaround – The Phnom Penh Post, Cambodia’s oldest independent newspaper, was struggling as a fortnightly publication. On behalf of Australian and American investors, I negotiated its acquisition, and led its turnaround into a media group with two daily newspapers, magazines and websites.

Consulting – I was hired by the Board of Directors of Myanmar’s largest newspaper publisher as an independent advisor on finance and corporate strategy. I audited the accounts, standardized management reports, and provided independent opinion on investments, dividend policy and corporate strategy.

Consulting – After graduating INSEAD, I was recruited by CSC, a global IT and outsourcing company, in their Consulting Division.

Startup, development, and exit – I founded this software development company, pioneering IT outsourcing to Vietnam as an alternative to India. Acquiring customers from US, Europe and Japan, the company grew to 350 employees. After two acquisitions and a merger, we profitably sold to a large UK-listed company in 2006.

Business diversification and spin-off – In the early 90’s, business information was scarce and unreliable in Vietnam. Among the best source of valid business information was the Vietnam Investment Review. I developed and commercialized the CD-ROM of their archive, generating over $200,000 in derived revenue for the publisher.
