Current job: assisting credit specialists at the Lending Support department of ABN AMRO (as Welten trainee/young professional)I am an (business) economist with a thorough analytical background and broad knowledge in various (sub)fields, who is now looking for a new challenge and interesting opportunities to put the knowledge and skills I acquired during my studies into practice. I approach the world with enthusiasm and an open mind, and by being ambitious and working hard I would like to contribute towards finding solutions for complex issues. I am an autonomous, analytical, and conscientious person who continually strives to be and do better.My primary (professional) interests are (micro, macro, and monetary) economics, (national and international) banking (incl. financial regulation), and finance. An important personal goal of mine was (and still is) to continually strengthen and expand my technical and analytical skills since that will be necessary in order to not only be able to solve the fundamental problems that can currently be found in these areas but also be ready for new issues that will emerge in the future. This is why general applied mathematics, probability theory and statistics, programming (especially related to data analysis), econometrics, and actuarial science (insurances and pensions) are additional personal interests of mine. I enjoy working with numbers and real data to extract and present concrete and useful information.My secondary interests are (national, international, and geo)politics, history, and (physical and human) geography, and in my spare time I enjoy reading and long-distance running.Finally, I have always had a passion for education, i.e. the science and art of conveying all relevant knowledge and skills in the best way possible and making complex matter comprehensible. I have expressed this passion in my work as homework tutor and study mentor, by creating summaries and notes of study material, and in my voluntary work as a scout leader.An important personal characteristic is my desire to always remain curious and keep educating myself (for example, by following additional courses). I have always done so and strive to continue doing so in my future job because acquiring new knowledge and developing my skills provides energy and inspiration.
