With 30+ years' experience in international marketing, channel management, operations and law, I offer deep knowledge of the commercial, cultural and legal requirements for doing business in a wide range of challenging markets. This is the result of 20+ years working in marketing and channel management and 10 years in law....based in Dubai, Windsor (UK), Hong Kong and Toronto. Evizone has developed several cutting-edge services and I am excited to head up operations which, in a start-up, includes sales operations, management, administration, legal, compliance, partner programs, marketing ... anything that needs to be done to support the mission.

Member Of Board, CeoDao Games Ltd. 2012 - Feb 2015DAO Games of Dubai is an award-winning MMO (massively multiplayer online) video games publisher. I held two roles with this company: Member of the Board from 2012 to present and Interim CEO from 2013 to present. The Board asked me to take over the company’s management at the end of 2013 and develop a new direction to avoid closure. I worked closely with a consultant I brought in to conduct an objective assessment, develop a new business plan, frame a new investor presentation, and persuade existing shareholders and key vendors to continue their support. I also managed all of the company’s contractual and legal matters. ▶ When the company was being set up, I managed all the legal work - either performing it myself or overseeing that which was outsourced. The efforts included creating the corporation, drafting and managing contractual documents, drafting and managing the shareholder’s agreement, managing corporate records, and ensuring regulatory compliance. ▶ In collaboration with DAO management and an investment banker, I developed the investor strategy for Stage One Funding. ▶ One of my big wins in this role was negotiating a settlement with one of the games studios that had breached its contract with DAO.

I was hired initially to rebuild and manage the company’s partner ecosystem including more than 400 partners and 35 channel account managers throughout the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Central and Eastern Europe, and Russia. I spearheaded process mapping and documenting, systems enhancement and alignment, process adoption, and governance programs for the company. ▶ I rebuilt the partner ecosystem of over 1000 partners across all of Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) by providing comprehensive training, introducing a disciplined partner selection process, delivering extensive partner business planning assistance, and offering partner enablement programs. ▶ The indirect partner program I developed for emerging markets was recognized as a Best Practice at the company’s global conference. This was a complete departure from the company’s existing direct business model, which our team recognized as an ineffective model for the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.▶ I served as business lead for a SalesForce.com global PRM (partner relationship management) implementation, which facilitated the growth of the indirect partner model globally.▶ The first CA franchises I helped to develop and manage in South Africa and MENA became two of the company’s most successful and profitable regions. ▶ I designed and rolled out a “Due Diligence Anti-Corruption” program for our global partners; this proved to be a highly successful initiative. -
Regional Marketing ManagerDaimler Chrysler 2004 - 2005Auburn Hills, Mi, UsDaimlerChrysler Middle East (DCME) marketed its products in the Middle East through a network of independent country and regional distributors. After a brief hiatus from the company, I returned to the role of Regional Marketing Manager to develop and execute marketing strategies for Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge brands in the Middle East, the Levant, and Turkey. My efforts included brand advertising, distributor cooperative advertising and promotional programs, consumer research, CRM, and merchandising programs. I also served as the marketing interface between DCME and 14 GCC (Gulf Cooperative Council) distributors. I analyzed local market conditions and advised the head office and global advertising agency on marketing strategies (5P's) needed to make the brands more competitive in the Japanese-dominated Middle East markets. ▶ By launching several innovative marketing and advertising programs—many of which were recognized as best practices—I was able to help almost double sales volume and market share for all three brands. ▶ I managed the regional launches of several new models including the Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Chrysler 300C. The innovative strategies I used included a loyalty program for current brand owners to retain customers, as well as marketing focused on the brands’ quality, reputation, and heritage that proved highly successful in attracting potential customers. ▶ One of the accomplishments I am most proud of was serving as Executive Producer of Jeep’s Cycle of Life TV series. This was the first natural history series that explored the Arab Peninsula as part of an integrated marketing program to rebuild the Jeep brand in the Middle East. -
