Accountable for annual operating and capital budgets with responsibility for over 35+ employees. Created and implemented the vision, methodology and infrastructure of the Quality Services Program.

Implemented a new Risk Management Program focused on a proactive risk identification, education of staff and physicians and resolution of patient and visitor complaints.Prepared staff for pending litigation, assisted hospital attorney's in case preparation.

Responsibilities included Medical Record analysis for potential malpractice issues, preparation of medical record analysis for consideration by the Risk Management Committee, interviewed medical and hospital staff regarding potential legal issues. Worked collaboratively with the in- house legal counsel in discovery preparation for trial.

Intensive Care Unit: Responsibilities included supervision of staff nurses, provided holistic nursing care for the critically ill patient, liaison between physician and family members. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certified and was a certified Code Blue Captain. Developed a preceptor program for new nurses and programs on critical care issues.Emergency Department: Responsibilities included triage and care for the acutely ill patients. Participated in the departmental continuous Quality Assurance program.
