Continuation of ESRIN Account Management and Earth Observation Business Development activities after the change of name of RHEA System S.p.A. into Starion Italia S.p.A.

Accountable for collecting, assessing and following all business development activities emerging from ESA/ESRIN in the field of Earth Observation solutions and services, capturing leads and ideas emerging from ESRIN before formal Invitations to Tender are issued by ESA. I maintain and nurture a strong network of clients and potential partners, and keep a continuous monitoring of the market in ESRIN and of all changes within the ESA organization, for the best identification of the key decision-makers.

Onsite contact for all RHEA employees in ESRIN, providing head office staff with information on employee issues, successes and changing needs. Key contact for internal communications and responsible for RHEA site policies and procedures, providing support to the recruitment and phase-in process, monitoring the level of service provided for HR, Finance, Missions, Communications etc..., liasing with the RHEA recruitment team. Deeply involved in business development activities, fostering the growth of RHEA through continuous interaction with the client and partner organizations for the pursue of new business opportunities.

Service Manager in the context of CSC-DA (Copernicus Space Component Data Access) program, providing support to ESA for the Data Access Management, CSC-DAEnd-to-End operations, and Copernicus Contributing Missions management. Engineering support for Copernicus CDS (Coordinated Data Access System) implementation. Contract Management Support.

Engineering support to the CDS (Coordinated Data Access System, the unified Data Access front-end to the Copernicus contributing missions, including Sentinel Missions) project managers (ESA CDS System Architect) during the implementation cycle and operational deployment of CDS evolutions, responding to Copernicus Service Project (CSP) needs and to phase-in Sentinel missions as Copernicus Contributing Missions (CCM), starting from the system requirements definition phase up to system validation, commissioning and transfer to operations.

Engineering support to operational and development activities for Envisat and Earth Explorers (Aeolus, Cryosat-2, GOCE) mission planning infrastructures; software support and maintenance on INFEO/eoPortal web portal; on-call support on Envisat/ERS PDGS.

Satellite Control Center (SCC) software maintenance on: Sicral, Artemis and Atlantic Bird 1 missions; software development on Cosmo Skymed mission; SCC software development responsibility on Agile mission; operation planning and reporting tools design and development; architectural design (ADD), interface (ICD) documents and user manual (SUM) preparation and maintenance; on-call support on multi-mission SCC

Geographic Information System (GIS) projects development; satellite remote sensing data processing; airborne remote sensing mission planning and execution; navigation (GPS/attitude) and remote sensing data processing and integration in GIS environment; GPS hardware/software maintenance

System administration in Windows 95/NT environments; software programming in Visual Basic
