I’m in the third act of my career story, continuously aspiring to be of value while chasing new opportunities.I most recently was a self-employed small business owner, where I got to experience every workplace position. There’s nothing quite like being HR, customer service, marketing, and janitor all in the same day. Before that I worked in biotechnology where my lab was primarily focused on disease diagnosis using oral fluid specimens. I originally got into the medical technology space because of the impact I could have. When approached with open curiosity, the possibilities were endless. My lab specifically focused on developing equally as accurate diagnostic technology without having to draw blood, improving the patient experience.I was both a product and project manager, organizing the lab work to both support current products through the manufacturing process as well as developing new applications for the oral fluid specimen. This required leveraging FDA regulations, standardized practices for research and development, implementing quality, and enforcing regulatory standards for approved diagnostic tests to be produced at scale for commercial use.I am currently looking for new opportunities in the biotechnology sector. I have been following the technological impacts since changing career paths and am looking for ways to be involved in the field again.
