Clinical specialists are responsible for all aspects of customer engagement, including product implementation, application support, and customer training. The role also supports marketing and product by providing customer feedback, insight generation and contributing to outbound efforts, such as blogs, webinars, tradeshows, etc. This is a senior position that has clinical input for all aspects of customer engagement as well as assisting in driving the direction of the product

Provides skilled nursing, patient education, and individualized care and care coordination both telephonic form the call center environment and in the homeCollaborates with the team members to develop and implement teaching plans and patient education materials based on national standards for patients of varying ages with diabetes and gestational diabetesCollaborates with patient, family members, and /or significant others in establishing mutual learning goals and behavior change goals. Assess patient commitment to goal adherenceCommunicates education and follow-up recommendations to physicians and other health care providers within the multidisciplinary team.Coordinates with the healthcare team in the development of tools for optimal patient outcomes and report findingsDevelop and maintain positive presence and relationships within Diabetes community and Maternal Fetal Medicine team Maintains knowledge of current developments, trends and techniques in diabetes management and education, and makes recommendations regarding use in the diabetes self- management education programsDemonstrates expertise in the education of patients in diabetes self-management Assists in development of educational programs for staff, support groups and others as needed

Lead the Research Department to assure complete adherence of Clinical Research Protocols (Phase I, II and III) including development of Clinical Study Protocols, Informed Consent Forms and Study DocumentsHire, supervise and mentor a diverse and talented; including clinical research coordinators, nurses and research assistantsProvide clinical research training in all aspects of clinical trial coordination and ensure efficient CRC time management and workload prioritization to meet study needsClinical Project ManagementProvide site monitoring, site management and site administration for clinical studies according to GCP, ICH Guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures Develop and manage departmental budgets and strategies to improve project profitability and efficiencyReview, negotiate and provide approval for research sites' budget and CTAsDesigned and deployed a method to track grant payments to ensure on-time payments and to strengthen site/sponsor relationships

Construct source documents, recruiting materials and assisted clinical staff to identify potential study patients leading to accomplishing overall project enrollment goals Coordinate and conduct patient care visits and ensured all procedures were conducted in compliance with clinical research protocolInteracted with physician to insure patients received timely medical evaluations and care when needed; alerted physicians of any serious adverse events that occurred throughout the course of the studyHosted inspections performed by CROs, Sponsors and FDA; ensured productive working relationships with these and other stakeholdersDiabetes Nurse EducatorTeach patients insulin pump and sensor therapyAssess patients' understanding of insulin pump therapy and current diabetes regimenFollow-up with patients and assist with continued education to insure they receive all benefits associated with diabetes careProvide in-services for healthcare professionals on updates pertaining to diabetes care
