As Head of the Multifamily business at Fannie Mae, I am focused on building a profitable and sustainable business. Our $440 billion book of business is comprised of high-quality and diversified transactions that span every multifamily asset class across the country. In my role, I am committed to three fundamental responsibilities: providing liquidity, stability, and affordability to the market while maintaining credit standards and mitigating losses; supporting our customers with a high level of service; and leveraging technology and leading innovation to position the DUS model for the future. As the challenges of financing quality rental housing and the accelerated pace of technology in the industry converge, our experienced teams and strong partnerships will allow us to lead the way forward. My 30-years in Multifamily includes many years in the production and credit space and, most recently, the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO). As Multifamily COO, I was responsible for driving business transformation strategy, technology and data initiatives, training, product management and development, securitization initiatives, credit risk transfers, and modeling analytics. I also serve on Fannie Mae's Management Committee, where I help drive enterprise strategy and priorities for the good of the DUS network and the communities we serve. Fannie Mae's Multifamily Division is the leading source of financing and securitization for quality rental housing in the United States, in every market, for every income level, every day. Fannie Mae serves a wide spectrum of the market, including conventional, rent-restricted, cooperatives, seniors, student housing, and manufactured housing communities, and finances all loan sizes, from a $1 million single-asset loan to a $1 billion structured transaction facility. Fannie Mae also pioneered Green Financing products for multifamily which contribute to positive financial, environmental, and social outcomes and create affordable housing options for families and individuals.
