Boomsatsuma is a Community Interest Company that offers a creative programme run by and for young people. Building on the legacy of the Arts Council's Find Your Talent scheme, we offer accredited programmes in both formal and informal settings and apprenticeships. The work and the producers are inspirational and our aim is to 'fuel the next creative generation'.

Commissioning parenting support and targeted support for children and managing family intervention projects laid the foundations for Early Help services.I was fortunate to have the chance to commission and provide a very wide range of services for children and young people, embracing outdoor education, playing for success centres at our local football clubs, Shakespeare in schools projects and holiday activities. I used my experience in the arts to oversee the development of a successful music education hub which we transferred to Bristol Music Trust (operates the Colston Hall in Bristol) 2013. Show less

As Service Manager for Learning Partnerships, I had responsibility for the Bristol Arts and Music Service. In partnership with Bristol Music Trust, we successfully bid for funds to become the Bristol Music Education Hub. In September 2013 we transferred the service out of the City Council and into Bristol Music Trust - the organisation that runs the Colston Hall - where it goes from strength to strength. The title 'Bristol Plays Music' was suggested by some of the students.

Watershed was a great place to work and is a great place to visit. I was really fortunate to be part of a highly skilled and enthusiastic team leading a centre for media and communications that is a force for change in Bristol and who's influence reaches far further.
