Evaluate and treat neurosurgical patients. First assist in the operating room in all phases of surgery of the brain, disc and spine including neurovascular procedures and perform bedside such as shunt taps and placement of ICP monitors when indicated. Read and interpret labs and image studies and initiate treatment. Discuss diagnosis, treatment, risks, benefits, and alternatives to the patient and their families. Provide emergency management of adult and pediatric neurosurgery patients and coordinate pre and post-operative care with discharge planning under the direction of the collaborating neurosurgeon.

Evaluated and developed treatment plans for a variety of urologic disorders including prostate, renal, and bladder cancer, hypogonadism, voiding dysfunction, incontinence, hematuria, BPH, erectile dysfunction, and stone disease. Evaluated urologic consults and determined appropriate disposition routing and priority of those consults. Performed a variety of surgical procedures including TESTOPEL, TUMT, and Spanner Prostatic Stent placement. Administered cancer therapies such as BCG, Firmigon, and chemotherapeutic agents such as VALSTAR.

On voluntary basis assisted Dermatologists with the diagnosing and treatment of common dermatologic conditions, conducted full body skin exams, first assist during MOHS surgery for treatment of basal and squamous cell carcinoma.

Screened non-gynecological, gynecological and fine needle aspiration specimens. Studied and identified the presence of cell structure in malignant, pre-malignant, atypical cells and bacterial/viral etiology.
