Family Nurse Practitioner

As a Charge Nurse my responsibility is to manage the nurses that are on duty. I make assignments considering the scope of practice of each nurse and tech. I control the flow of the emergency department and ensure that each patient recieves competent care.

Floor nurse for a General/Specialty Surgery floor. I cared for patients that were recovering from surgery. The surgeries included: Plastic Surgery, General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Oral Surgery, ENT Surgery and other medical problems.

I volunteered and was on call on days that I chose. I ran on the ambulance when calls came in. I either drove the ambulance or worked in the back treating the patients until we transported the patient to the San Juan County Hospital in Monticello, Utah;

As the receptionist / accounts receivable at the offices of the City of Monticello, Utah I was responsible for answering the phone for the City Manager and the City Clerk. I was also responsible for all of the billing for water, sewer, and garbage for the residents in the city limits. I would also receive payments for this bill. I was a dental assistant that assisted the Oral/Maxillofacial Surgeons and residents in the Dental Clinic. I also went to the operating room to assist in surgeries that the veteran's needed.
