C3 provides port services across NZ including marshalling, stevedoring and materials handling. During my time with C3 I reorganised and restructured the Finance department, significantly improving culture. I ran the project to successfully condense the month end process from 2 weeks to 3 days and changed the perception of Finance from transactional to business partnering with increased involvement with branches around the country. I also introduced process efficiencies including Robotic Process Automation (RPA), improved budget and forecast models, and enhanced Exec Team reporting. I was the Finance lead in an acquisition, and the subsequent C3 integration project manager.

Intueri Education Group was a publicly listed company which owned a number of private tertiary education providers across New Zealand and previously Australia. I was appointed CFO following the incumbent CFO moving to Interim CEO role. I had responsibility for Finance, IT, Business Performance and Commercial Services teams, and all financial reporting for the Group including to the Board and NZX/ASX.I played a significant role in the capital structure review, which culminated in the successful sale of the NZ colleges. I developed extensive modelling of various outcomes including banking covenants and facility requirements, and was key in the liaison with the bank and their advisors. I provided full support through the voluntary administration period and was committed to seeing the process to the end. During this period I was involved in the restructure of the business to resize and streamline including multiple campus closures, departmental restructures and the closure of the Australian business.

My role had responsibility for all Finance, IT and Business Performance teams.During this period, Intueri moved from private equity ownership to being listed on both the NZX and ASX. I successfully managed the transition following IPO from private to public external financial reporting.Whilst in the role, a number of acquisitions were successfully integrated, with common systems and processes established and the shared services functions created.

The Professional Bar & Restaurant School (PBRS) is a private tertiary education facility. Following a restructure of PBRS I was appointed GM, reporting to the Board, with complete accountability for managing the organisation.

I was brought into the company to increase the ‘horsepower’ at the executive level with an understanding that substantial international expansion would follow. Following a significant restructure I was appointed General Manager for PBRS.

Once the new CEO commenced at Jasons, I reverted back to my previous position as Financial Controller.

I was promoted to CEO (Acting) for a period of 5 months whilst the Board recruited a new CEO. During this time I led strategic direction, planning and reporting for the company, including a major website upgrade.

Responsibilities include control and reporting on all aspects of the company’s finances to the CEO and the Board. Active involvement in company wide strategic direction including identifying, analysing and implementing innovations, 3 year plan, targets and KPI's.

Brightstar NZ offers supply chain optimisation and third party logistics and distribution services. In this role I formed a complete Finance team from scratch in a little over 2 months. I also led the implementation of all finance related processes, systems and policies with go live achieved in 3 months.
