To Whom it May ConcernI am an ARNP, licensed in Massachusetts and Florida, with many years of experience. For thepast 2 years, I have worked at a family medicine clinic in Margate Florida, as a primarycare provider, taking care of patients ages 16 through >90 years. I am also working per diem at two family medicine clinics and The Broward Jail, providing medical care to the inmates. Prior to this I worked 14 years at an inner city hospital in Boston, in a variety of clinical settings, including endocrinology, urgent care, acute surgery and trauma, and pre-procedure.I am used to being in a work environment where it is necessary to multi-task. For example,when I worked in-patient, in acute surgery and trauma, my responsibilities included roundingwith residents and attendings, evaluating surgery patients, ordering appropriate diagnostictesting, contacting providers in other sub-specialties, acting as a liaison between the surgeons,staff nurses, case managers, social workers and primary care providers, while, at the sametime, attending all traumas that occurred during my shift. In Pre-procedure Clinic, I wouldfamiliarize myself with a patient's medical history and medications, prior to seeing each patient.I would then interview, examine and assess the patient, order and interpret diagnostic tests,make appropriate referrals to sub-specialists, and discuss cases with the anesthesiologist.
