I once took an improv class and it has shaped my professional life with five bullet points, here's how...1) Release your own agenda- There is more than one way to complete tasks, let's talk about how we can get there together. 2) Listen deeply, with all senses- Speak in such a way that people love to listen to you, listen in such a way that people love to speak to you. Build the relationship first. 3) Remember empathy- What is wanted and needed for all parties to be successful, and how can I make that happen within the structure?4) Always look to say YES+AND - "but" is the end of all forward movement. 5) Respond authentically and mindfully-Genuine honesty is always the best long term, large scale communication tactic... do it with knowledge and love.I have 15 years of highly rated experience in education.
