Advanced Physical Therapist with continued study and application of manual and functional skills. Areas of interest include: Pain assessment and treatment, sports and other injury recovery. Craniosacral Therapy; Myofascial Release; Neural Therapy including Micro Point Stimulation (MPS)including Certification in Scar Release Therapy, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF); Vestibular Rehabilitation; Gait and Advanced Balance Rehabilitation; Postural integration, segmentation, functional stabilization and ergonomics; Pilates and Tai Chi principles for P.T., treatment for colicky infants (compelling past research designer and clinician in conjunction with Univ of FL College of Nursing). Currently inactive member of Sunrise Rotary Club (motto "service above self")and 2017 recipient of first Paul Harris Award. Active member of Wild Women of Faith[all denominations] "WWF", whose motto is "less of me, more of Him". During Hurricane Andrew, we didn't have communications set up as we do today. someone in the middle of the rubble could use radio phone to phone our land line, we became the communicators. We then would call the services that were needed. By the end of the first day, hungry people had a meal, babies had clean diapers, emergency supplies were being distributed. Catholic Charities sent a Spanish speaking Priest that was trusted by the immigrants, therefore they came out for needed nutrition and medical care. That experience taught us to have 3 layers of communication and outside of community reference point. Humbling and rewarding to be part of that spontaneous team.
