In this role, I acted as the education liaison for procedural and the peri-operative settings to ensure regulatory requirements were met and the staff in those areas were kept abreast of the latest evidence based practice.

In a per diem position I was assigned at many facilities throughout the Minneapolis/ St. Paul area. I provided care to patients in the ICU, CCU, CVICU and PACU environments. This was very challenging and rewarding work.

While working in the Communicable Disease Prevention Department I provided education to parents of infants and school age children regarding public school and vaccination requirements at kindergarten round-up as well as on a one to one basis. In addition to the childhood vaccination requirements, I provided education to the community regarding annual vaccinations such as influenza and pnuemonia. Working in this environment provided me the opportunity to coordinate flu shot clinics in the community and administer vaccines to all age groups from infant to the elderly.
