I am a lawyer and legal advisor based in Milan with a strong academic background and a significant international experience, gained at leading international law firms and institutions in Italy, Belgium and Greece. I am the founder of Avv. Michele Rizzo Law Firm, with offices in Milan and Athens (Greece), that advises (i) individuals, (ii) public law bodies and (iii) Italian and international businesses and start-up on both contentious and non-contentious matters relating to Administrative Law, Business law and Real Estate & Construction Law.My areas of practice include: public procurement law, construction, town planning and expropriation of land for public use, real estate law, energy law, environmental law, public utilities law and public goods law, trade regulations law, national and transnational commercial law, corporate law and European Union law.Besides, I carry out academic legal research between European Law & Governance School of Athens and Politecnico of Milano, Department of Architecture and Urban Studies (DASTU), where I also am teaching assistant and scientific coordinator of the LLM program on public procurement law.My research activity entails issues of European Union Law and Italian Law related to green public procurement and energy efficiency in the real estate sector, with a focus on administrative procedures and contracts for the energy requalification of the real estate assets of Public Administration.
