Michele is the former CEO at General Electric (GE) Power Conversion Latin America, at Stericycle Brazil and at Gerdau Summit - a Joint Venture between the global Brazilian steel company Gerdau and the Japanese Sumitomo Corporation and Japan Steel Works (JSW). Her work is focused on Operational Excellence, Supply Chain, Customer Experience, ESG, Innovation and Cultural Transformation. Michele was recognized as the first women CEO and the first to become B Corp in the steel industry in the world, reaffirming her commitment and results for achieving high standards of social, environmental responsibility, governance and transparency. Michele is an independent Board Member for Construtora Tenda - the largest Brazilian construction company dedicated as a homebuilder for the low-income housing industry in Brazil. Michele is a member of the Audit board committee and is an active coach for Operations and Strategic Sourcing topics with the management team. Michele is also certified as Corporate Director by Harvard Business School (HBS). Michele was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil and lived in Argentina and USA for many years. She graduated from Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires and University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and Industrial & Systems Engineering and from University of Michigan with an executive master’s in supply chain. Michele is married to Jean-Claude and has two teenage daughters Isabelle and Beatrice. She has recently relocated back to the USA with the family to support her daughters’ education.
