Key Responsibilities: • Foster the development of a common vision among community stakeholders throughout the 10-parish region by - Analyzing current and changing social issues and donor values to determine implications for United Way’s strategic direction. - Providing and sharing research-based information in meaningful ways to gain greater commitment for the transformation to community level change. • Create and implement a plan to achieve desired results in Education, Income and Health by - Defining United Way’s role. - Establishing desired outcomes, objectives, strategies and action steps. - Identifying periodic milestones and plans for data collection.• Frame strategies and outcomes as solutions to community issues by - Working with marketing and resource development departments to help package them as products that can be marketed and linked to community/investor aspirations. - Sharing the vision for accomplishing strategies with community partners and the broader public.• Coordinate Capital Area United Way’s investment of approximately $7 million in the 10-parish region by - Creating and implementing a strategy for investment that reflects a greater commitment to invest in results. - Shifting resources as directed by the Board of Directors to have a specified portion of undesignated funds invested in community level change and identify potential outside sources to leverage United Way investments.• Establish board and staff-level responsibility for engaging with the community by - Formulating United Way’s position on critical public policy issues. - Overseeing the organization of briefings for public officials, legislators, business leaders and the nonprofit sector to inform and shape policy related to priority issues.• Provide leadership for board level and community committees• Participate in budget planning process and provide oversight to the department budget.

• Led planning and execution of the Impact Transformation Partnership between United Way of Northeast Louisiana and United Way of America. • Supervised the development and execution of community building initiatives. • Fostered positive relationships between United Way and community partners, agency boards, and other community representatives as community relations representative. • Led the fund distribution process to ensure that between $1.5 and $2 million of donor contributions were aligned with the community goals. • Managed the recruitment and training of fund distribution staff and volunteers.• Managed the daily activities of 2-1-1, community building, and community investment (fund distribution) staff. • Implemented outcomes measures to monitor the progress of departmental and agency efforts.
