My experience isn’t theoretical, it’s boots on the ground. I was an executive in the federal government for over 25 years and bring work experience from both overseas and across the country, including the North and Arctic regions. While leading teams from eight to 800 people, I worked with all levels of public and private stakeholders and negotiated complex agreements. Working at the interface between federally-elected officials, the public, and bureaucracy, I developed high-performing teams, and led them through changes or challenges. We delivered new programs, restructured organizations, and managed controversial issues with multiple perspectives and stakeholders. Throughout we engaged the public and developed trusting relationships.
