Program Assistant
Current• Assist individuals in managing their psychiatric symptoms and to develop the skills necessary to improve emotional cognitive and social functioning.• Facilitate daily groups; Dual Disorder/Co-Occurring Disorder, Relapse Prevention, Coping Skills, Problem Solving Skills; providing integrated educational material on substance abuse and mental health.• Maintain charts and all clinical documentations (treatment plans/reviews/progress/assessments, and discharge plans) on a daily basis. • Provide substance use and sexual risk assessments; discuss individualized risk reduction strategies utilizing a harm reduction approach. Trained in opiate prevention, possessing a Narcan Kit with certification. • Work closely with care coordinators, Mental Health Court, and Assisted Outpatient Treatment to ensure clients are supported and compliant. • Responsible for incident reporting either internally, to the Justice Center, and/or NIMRS. • Conduct special investigations following an incident that requires interviewing of all parties involved. • Help develop and implement quality improvements based on internal investigations findings. • Participate in incident review committee meetings. • Conduct timely utilization reviews to ensure standards for documentations are being met.
