This has benefitted the company by allowing them to target high and low performing engineers and enabling the company to benefit from best practice driving a 30% increase in volume between breakdown calls.Danwood provide circa 250 service reports each month. The process used to be extremely manual, I have been able to automate the reporting by controlling the complete process through a single application, instead of requiring two full time staff the reports can now be produced by one person saving in the region of 270 man hours per month, as well as freeing them up during the process to do other work. I have provided similar support for several other legacy database/spreadsheet reporting systems automating them and making them more streamlined, dynamic and user-friendly. I have been involved with several other projects whilst working for the Group Service Director at Danwood that have had a major impact: OEM v Generic - this project ran for a period of 18 months and saved circa £20K per month by curbing the incorrect supply of branded toners; Estimating Date of next Fit – by using yields and volumes to predict part failure we were able to equip the engineers better and optimise the parts fitted into the machine, by doing this we were able to cut the number of visits to targeted customers by 50% and give a superior service.
