Aqua Sphere & Phelps Hardgoods Product Manager. Responsible for beginning to end management, and global commercial performance, of all eye protection, training accessories, within Phelps and Aqua Sphere brands. Responsible for the life cycle of the products, from opportunity identification and product definition, through distribution and to discontinuation/end-of-life reporting directly to the Brand Manager and Business Line Manager (VP). I directly interact with the PDM’s to brief, forecast, follow up, managing all the development process from the conception, the sampling, the production start up. I also explore together with International Purchase Officers the abroad research of new potential suppliers expecially in the Far East Area (Cina, Japan, Thailand) with several yearly trips. Conducting market studies (on field, i.e. U.S.A., Germany, UK, Japan, Korea, Cina) and owning consumer, market and competitive insights that are relevant to the product range as PLM I drive the analysis of internal and external data in order to understand any major developments in the product or product family with regards to competition and trends in the market. I adhere to and monitor the planned budget.I participates in the implementation of the action plan and the marketing mix following the results and adjusting the actions and coordinate actions with internal and external partners. I’m also responsible for the complete product solution, which includes not only the actual product, but the other elements that are needed for the product to be successful. I define the whole product solution (content, messaging, collateral, POP, sales tools etc.), and work with marketing on the execution of these product element. As PLM provide the features and the benefits of the product being also in charge of presenting the product internally and externally and globally when needed. I am also aware of the various global and local rules, standards, directives and laws.

Ensure design of product line is commercially and technically acceptable and within brand and costs guidelines. Commercially aware, with the ability to grow sales and gross margin performance through the use of innovation, range planning and a clear understanding of the cost drivers of product. Knowledge of project management, design for manufacture, understanding of tooling and materials. Creation of product briefs to define and approve specifications of product range to meet needs of consumer, brand and price-point. Work with category technical team to define and implement relevant product testing and quality standards. Ensure testing is conducted in a timely and accurate manner. Give approval for fit and function of all new product.
