Desert Pictures produced numerous feature film, tv dramas and educational TV documentaries 1982-1991 in South Africa. In 1993 Michele and Heinrich Dahms moved to The Netherlands and formed BUZZMEDIA NETWORK.From 2006 BMN produced viral video clips for NGOs and advocacy groups and Dutch feature films which reflect the effect an alienated society has on children and teens: BUZZMEDIA NETWORK's two award winning Dutch films SURVIVING (OVERLEVEN, 2007): school bullying and victimisation school. SCUM (SCHOFT, 2009) focuses on random violence, drug and alcohol abuse. 'Schoft' is distributed by Filmfreaks (www.filmfreaks.nl). In 2010 SCHOFT was screened in arthouse cinemas in major cities in The Netherlands and JURIAAN FUCHS won BEST ACTOR award.BUZZMEDIA NETWORK's feature length documentary BETWEEN THE DEVIL AND THE DEEP was filmed on location in the fishing village of Hawston, 90 kms from Cape Town, South Africa.TV BROADCAST: NL/NPO2 on 05 April 2016.
