It has changed the tenor of entire schools: quadrupled a school’s proficiency level, moved children from violence to cooperation. It has been the catalyst for a 100% pass rate on an entire 3rd-grade class's ELA and has been instrumental in getting that school off the failing school's list. Time In has brought parents, administrators, children and some of the world’s leading musical artists - Joyce DiDonato, Alice Coote, Anthony McGill, Janai Brugger, Ailyn Pérez, Brian Jagde, Bryan Wagorn - together as activists for an arts-enriched education with an emphasis on equality, opportunity and access for children living in impoverished communities and attending under-resourced, Title 1 schools. Our children are welcomed by the hundreds - over and over again - at some of the world’s most important galleries including Hauser & Wirth, Pace, Gagosian, Mitchell Inness and Nash, Paula Cooper, Sikkema Jenkins, Greene Naftali, Mary Boone, David Zwirner and so many more.

Our PassionTalking to High School about connecting the dots… The journey from High School Student to working in in a profession that they not only love, but that will provide a sense of purpose for themselves and for others. Something that is not taught in a formal educational setting and something many adults wished they would have understood during high school.What is Next Generation Talks ?Next Generation Talks brings together high school students with thought leaders, executives from different industries (STEM and the Arts) and entrepreneurs to explore and speak about the pathways to success - connecting the dots and exploring what it takes to become successful in your chosen profession. Discussion topic’s include- what it means to persist against all odds in a profession that you love, what starting at the bottom means and knowing your “stuff" . The talks are based upon those who themselves have already had great success both personally and professionally.

Author Anna Olswanger’s book for children titled Greenhorn—based on the true story of an 11-year old Holocaust survivor who comes to a Brooklyn yeshiva in 1946—came to life on the screen this fall.The book and the film are based on a true story. In it, a young Holocaust survivor named Daniel arrives in 1946 at a Brooklyn yeshiva to study and live. He is befriended by Aaron, a boy with a stutter, and the two of them stand up to the bullies who make fun of them—Aaron because of his stutter and Daniel because of the small box (with its terrible secret) that he won't let out of his sight.Olswanger and Tom Whitus, the producers of the film, are pleased to announce that the premiere screenings of the short film took place in September at the Landmark NuArt Theatre in L.A. and in October at The Museum of Tolerance in New York. The film features excellent performances by the young lead actors Leo Hojnowski and Giorgio Poma."Because even the youngest Holocaust survivors will soon be gone, many children today will grow up without meeting a Holocaust survivor. They will never have a direct connection to the Holocaust. This film, along with other Holocaust films, could be their only connection. We intend Greenhorn to be a film for the next generation. "

KidsGivingtoKids.org was founded by Michele Anenberg Poma, a former Disney creative and marketing executive now living in Stockholm. Michele, the mother of two young children, became convinced that children today needed more opportunities to participate in acts of giving—both with time and money. Importantly, she realized that any tool for this engagement needed to compete with kids’ interest (obsession!) with the Internet, online games, and online communities while also being integrated with their education at school and at home.From this vision, Michele established the concept for KidsGivingtoKids.org, an online experience with the mission of engaging children ages 3-18 in acts of giving that change the lives of others. Designed to be age specific, educational, as well as entertaining, KidsGivingtoKids.org has the potential to become the premiere website for online giving used by children, parents, grandparents and educators both in the United States and overtime, globally. At the heart of KidsGivingtoKids.org is the age appropriate journey a child takes to understand what is happening around the world and how each child can participate in making a difference. What will keep kids, parents, educators and other adults who have any contact with children on the site, and coming back for more, is real time interactivity. This interactivity has to be motivating, inspirational and most importantly relevant. The act of giving, the concept of compassion and the belief that each child has the ability to make a difference has to be perceived to be “cool.” The site will also need to be able to track the impact of giving through KidsGivingtoKids.org as well as promote the continued giving.In order for KidsGivingtoKids.org to be successful, it will need to engage a number of industries and partners, including the music industry, gaming/interactive technologies, the entertainment industry, public schools, PTAs, corporations and foundations.

Festival OmoderntJune 11-17, 2012The aim of O/MODERNT is to be a Scandinavian response to the Verbier festival in Switzerland: in other words, to create an environment that not only performs the classical oeuvre in a traditional way, but also offers a programme that playfully questions those aesthetic norms which are often assumed in music of the Baroque period. The festival is held at Confidencen, the theatre of Ulriksdal’s palace in Stockholm. Sweden’s oldest Rococo theatre is situated in the nation’s first national park: it is a place where art and nature form a particular harmony, through the combination of contemporary visitors and the classical architecture of the theatre. This harmonious relationship between the old and the new is the inspiration for the vision behind O/MODERNT, as articulated by its artistic director, Hugo Ticciati, a concert violinist.Every year a composer contemporary from Confidencen’s golden age will be selected as the main theme for the festival season.
