You may look at my profile and all the different things I am doing or have done and say "Hmmm, there's a scattered one. Next!"​ But I promise you, I'm not scattered or flighty at all. I'm actually pretty driven and demanding, particularly of myself. I chose a path of being self employed 20 years ago as a resume writer and when I did, it allowed me to pursue many different parts of the one driving force of my life - CREATIVITY. I love the turn of a phrase - expressing complicated ideas or stories in a simple and clear way. I adore the transformation of watching a design come to life, from hardcore HGTV watching to breathing new life into a room, house or garden. I see beauty everywhere - from a wave breaking on the hull of a ship to a skyline filled with the lights of an oil refinery - and I have to capture it. So if you see where I'm going with this ...I'm about expressing ideas and transformations - both written and visual - with clarity, flow, and beauty. So when I'm writing a resume or a LinkedIn profile, while it's always my goal to create a powerful, accomplishment-driven document, I'm expressing complicated ideas using simple words in an attractive format. Personality, color, format, graphics, flow, readability, engagement are SO important to my process and to drawing the reader in. Studies show that the Human Resources review is only 6 seconds long - so I do whatever I can to get them reading longer. As an Interior Designer I believe your home shouldn’t look like anyone else’s in the neighborhood. It should reflect you, your uniqueness - it should be filled with things that have meaning for you. I love to tell the story of my interior design clients and make their home into their own unique sanctuary. Whenever the market cooperates and I can find a house, I also get a charge out of fix and flipping houses. I like to help people come out of hard times with a fresh start and give those homes a fabulous modern (NOT a Boring Builder Beige Bonanza) remodel. My art photography is periodically on display throughout the city. I love to push the boundaries and see what I can do to make a shot look like it ISN'T a photo, but a painting. The golden thread woven though it all is creativity... transformation... clarity. See, not flighty at all.☺
