No one should grow old alone - those of us who work and serve with LBFE believe that dignity is deserved by everyone, and as our motto states, 'Flowers before Bread.' While sustenance is critical to life, feeding the soul is as important to the health and welfare of our 'old friends.' We provide social interaction and friendship to elderly, in San Francisco, who would otherwise be alone most of the time. There are monthly training sessions about how to be a 'friend' and we do home visits on all major holidays as well as hold group events throughout the year.
