As an administrator, I am recognized for my dedication in the service of organizational mission and values. I received the 2019 Service Award from the Committee on the Advancement of Women Faculty at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.I was recognized as a Local Leader in the July/August 2016 issue of Scout Somerville magazine, for my work creating significant, positive, lasting, change. I lead individuals and teams to believe in themselves and achieve more than they set out to accomplish. I am most inspired by opportunities to serve diverse individuals and groups solving emergent and complex challenges. I have professional supervisory experience and enjoy coaching and mentoring peers and emerging leaders.I earned the Distinguished Toastmaster award, the pinnacle of the Toastmasters communication and leadership educational experience, in May 2020. My public speaking background includes teaching courses for college students and presenting at academic conferences. Subsequently, as the face of a respected and successful community organization, I delivered our message to diverse audiences, both sympathetic and adversarial, comprising residents, business leaders, and elected officials. I teach public-speaking skills in diverse contexts ranging from youth summer camps to professional development workshops.I think of myself as an "inside-the-box" strategist: I reframe constraints as opportunities and leverage existing resources to build capacity and achieve win-win outcomes.
