♦ Managed caseload and assisted with overseeing the Ticket to Work program, Work Incentive Counseling program, and transition supports for students and school contracts in the Philadelphia office ♦ Oversaw the PEW Work Incentive Counseling grant from 2012 – present and assisted with closing the Kessler grant, including fulfilling grant deliverables, maintaining tracking systems, and providing data analysis to grant funders and AHEDD program staff to ensure grant objectives were met♦ Researched potential funders, compiled reports, submitted proposals, and helped to raise $150K+ per grant cycle in funds for vulnerable adults in the 5-county region and AHEDD’s Work Incentive Counseling program♦ Provided individualized benefits counseling to Social Security beneficiaries with disabilities, ages 14-64 regarding work incentives and how work impacts benefits, as well as career counseling and guidance, on/off-site job supports, and follow along services♦ Conducted intake assessments and provided work incentive counseling on federal, state, and local benefits, work incentives, Medicare/Medicaid, and effective communication with Social Security Administration♦ Counseled participants on career goals, timely use of work incentives, resolved problems related to employment and benefits, and discussed wage reporting requirements♦ Addressed barriers to employment and determined specific services, supports, or accommodations necessary to achieve desired career goals, and made referrals to service providers, as needed♦ Cultivated relationships with community partners, organizations, and schools on the use of work incentives and barriers to employment for people with disabilities ♦ Documented interactions and composed case notes via internal database management system regarding participant progression throughout employment process, and well versed in a variety of technical and virtual platforms
