An economist by training, Michèle Boisvert pursued a career in journalism for more than 25 years. She first worked at Radio-Canada, where, among other assignments, she worked on Capital Actions, a daily show specialized in economic and financial issues. She joined La Presse in 2002, where she covered economic news as a reporter, then as an editorialist and as a columnist. In January 2007, she was named director of La Presse Affaires, the business section. In addition to her role at La Presse, Michèle Boisvert delivered a daily economic segment on the Radio-Canada morning show C’est bien meilleur le matin for seven years.Michèle Boisvert was Executive Vice-President, Business Outreach where she oversees all of CDPQ’s entrepreneurial initiatives and ensures that CDPQ is present in all regions of Québec, in support of the investment teams. In addition to her role at CDPQ, Ms. Boisvert was an adjunct professor at HEC Montréal. She was President of the Fondation de la Place des Arts and of the Fondation du Centre Jacques Cartier. She was also a member of the Boards of Directors of Université de Montréal, the Montréal Council on Foreign Relations (MCFR), the Concours musical international de Montréal (CMIM), the Fondation de l’Entrepreneurship and Innovation ENCQOR.In 2018, she was made a Knight of the Ordre national du Québec. Since May 2019, Michèle Boisvert is the new Quebec's Delegate general in France.
