• Collaborated with OR administration senior management to identify, define, prioritize and expedite a wide range of technology projects that support 60+ operating rooms. Vendor projects included:o Vocera - Led a workgroup in researching various communication tools and presenting recommendations to senior leadership. Successfully fast tracked an enterprise wide implementation of voice quality wireless (for EPIC) throughout all of the perioperative areas in order to support a Vocera trial.o Radianse - Worked with various teams and vendors to install Radio-frequency identification with infrared (RFID/IR) readers throughout the perioperative areas, both in new construction and in legacy spaces. Installed tags to monitor equipment and patient flow.o Livedata - Point of contact for software system that displays case information on a big board in the operating rooms. Expanded current functionality to 30 new Operating Rooms while working with the clinical team and the vendor to add functionality to allow clinicians to perform patient safety checks during surgical procedures. Implemented a schedule board that displays real time surgical case tracking, including case delays which allows for more efficient staff planning and urgent case placement.• Provided technical guidance and direction during all phases of vendor system acquisitions including RFP, demonstrations, product selection, contract negotiations, installation, implementation, and upgrades.• Provided supervision of the OR Statistics staff and performed back-up duties for the Director.• Acted as business owner and liaison between clinical staff and IT staff on various projects.
