Dr. Burklund has a strong academic foundation and over a decade and a half of experience in evidence-based nutraceutical and cosmetics research and development in categories including dietary supplements, clean beauty, and condition-based skin topicals. Her professional experience is wide-ranging; she’s worked in the wellness sector formulating and sourcing products for a decade and a half, she’s focused on content creation and education within the dietary supplement industry, she’s been the Chief Science Officer for a pioneering plant-based OTC brand, and she’s worked on the clinical side with a focus on brain health, optimizing hormones, and longevity. Dr. Burklund was an associate editor for a well-known natural health magazine alongside other platforms, writing well-researched health information. Dr. Burklund is a licensed physician in the states of California, Washington, and Montana. She earned her undergraduate degree from Seattle University and after completing her premedical studies, Dr. Burklund attended medical school at Bastyr University where she earned her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. She’s served on several science boards and was the science board director of two wellness companies.
