Highly motivated materials scientist with a strong background in the fabrication of solar cells. During the last five years I have authored and co-authored more than 40 research articles, published in high level peer-reviewed journals. In 2018, I received the prestigious ENI Award – Young Researcher of the Year for the outcomes of my research in the field of organic and perovskite solar cells. In 2019, I co-founded Mirai Solar, a start-up focusing on the fabrication of foldable and retractable solar panels.Specifically, I obtained the bachelor's (2009) and master's (2011) degrees in Material Science at the Università degli Studi di Padova with two theses on the development of low-cost solar cells. Subsequently, I started the Ph.D. in the School of Material Science and Engineering of the Università degli Studi di Padova, in co-tutelage with the Center for Nanoscience and Technology (CNST) of the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, in Milan. I obtained my Ph.D. in 2016 with the thesis: “The stability of third generation solar cell”. After the Ph.D. I joined the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) for one year of postdoc in the group of Prof. Osman Bakr, working on the synthesis of perovskite single crystals for photovoltaic applications. In 2017, I joined the KPV_Lab focusing on the optimization of silicon solar cells for the Middle East climate and the fabrication of high-efficiency perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells. I worked as Research Scientist at the KPV_Lab on the stability and scaling-up of perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells. Currently, I am a senior researcher at the University of Pavia working on the industrialization of perovskite photovoltaics
