The New Silk Road will involve all the Italian productive and economic sectors, tracing a new route on which huge quantities of goods will be moved, renewing the relations between China and Europe.​Italy is a country that sometimes finds it difficult to work in an integrated way, and because of this it may be unprepared or unattractive to important moment like the one awaiting us in the next few years with OBOR.​The OBOR Italian Institute, founded by Michele De Gasperis, has been established from the desire to network experiences, proposals and contributions of all the stakeholders interested in One Belt One Road and in the issues related to its developments in Italy.Our organizationManagement Committee: organizes and coordinates the Institute's activities, providing support to its members.Study Center: a network gathering institutions and private members of the Institute.Web collaboration platform: the Study Center, interpreting the changes in technology and the digital evolution of recent years, will have a specific web operating platform as its main meeting place, where its members will be able to exchange views on issues and topics at the forefront of the Institute discussions.The Study CenterThe OBOR Italian Institute, with its Study Center, is aimed at Italian and Chinese public institutions with the aim of identifying and gathering people and experiences to ensure that Italy has a more incisive role in this system, to govern rather than suffer it. In the future, the establishment of other more specific and thematic study centers is planned to better investigate issues related to OBOR and identify fields and methods through which Italy could increase its competitiveness and attract investments compared to other countries.
