Hi LinkedIn friends - Thanks for visiting! Since you're here, I'll share a little bit about me: where I've come from, what I'm focused on now and what my goals are for the future. I'd love to learn more about you too! As a brief intro, I grew up in a large Air Force family (my parents hailed from the Boston area) and most of my developing years were spent near Offutt AFB, NE. I learned from that early experience that "interesting and talented people are everywhere" - you just have to uncover what's special and unique about everyone you meet. I moved to Boston at 19 to pursue my undergrad and MBA degrees while I was working full time building a career in Marketing, PR & Branding at an integrated marketing firm, Trinity Communications. Next, I followed one of my sister's footsteps and began a career in fashion and luxury, starting at Cole Haan as a Marketing Manager and then transitioning to a more expansive career in NYC, holding Director and VP titles at bluechip American and European brands such as Condé Nast, Porsche Design, Judith Leiber and Panerai. During my NYC career, I was also hired for consulting projects, including running the North American office of Baselworld, which at the time was the world's largest watch and jewelry trade show, held in Basel, Switzerland. That experience entrenched me into the global watch and jewelry world, which is a wild & exciting roller coaster of personalities and cultures. I learned all about marketing luxury goods, through good economic times and not-so-good.In 2018, eager to expand my skillset, I was recruited by a friend to work in a whole new industry: B2B Tech, focused on workplace culture and DEI. I held the role of Director of Global Communications at Culture Amp, and kickstarted their global PR and exec thought leadership program, growing that into a media powerhouse. [The fact that CA has a very charismatic & brilliant CEO (Didier Elzinga) made that elevation of thought leadership effort a breeze.] Next I went to Hone, a live online L&D training platform, and built their PR & Comms practice and L&D community.Today I'm leveraging all of that life-long learning to support small & medium-sized businesses with their communications strategy, marketing & branding, community building and crisis communications with my company City-by-the-Sea Communications.
