Here’s the truth of who I used to be:A (childhood) trauma survivor who struggled as an adult to control my emotions, build a career, and create meaningful relationships.By the time I was 39 my life was falling apart in every way:- Managing the overwhelm of emotional turmoil and overwhelm meant too little sleep, too much anxiety and a lot of depression and a whole heap of health issues- Inability to focus, concentrate or make good professional decisions prevented me from building a sustainable career- Lack of trust, bad repetitive old habits of isolation, withdrawal, guilt and shame interfered with my ability to form healthy and connected relationshipsApproaching my 40s I thought, “It’s too late for me.” And then something happened that caused me to begin a quest to resolve the out of control feelings that hijacked my life:I went on a mission to heal my past so that I could start living in a present that allowed me to excel at work, find love, have fun, be in control, experience optimal health, have a satisfying personal life, and feel what I really, really wanted: freedom, peace and calm.
