People are interesting. This natural curiosity about people led me to become a life coach. Hi, I'm Michele Trent, and I've made it my mission to help overthinkers step out of their heads and into action. I love working with driven people who want to get even more out of life. As a life coach and public speaking coach with over 25 years of communication and marketing experience, I know how paralyzing self-doubt and analysis can be. But I also know how powerful it is when we break through those barriers and start moving toward our goals—both personal and professional.When coaching, I work mostly with people who are in a corporate setting. This is consistent with my background. Before doing a pivot to become a life coach, I spent my career as a marketer. Marketing is about reaching an ideal customer with a desirable product/service/idea in a way that motivates action. Coaching people is similar. But instead of selling them on an external product, it’s about the client being sold on themselves and their capabilities to create their desired future. The bridge between my corporate marketing career and my life coaching passion was founding a story recording business called Remembered Well. Does that seem like a crazy plot twist? Maybe. Until you understand the backstory. In 2016, my dad was given two weeks to live and I frantically sought to preserve a piece of him – his stories. After recording him during those final precious days, I felt the need to start a business preserving oral histories for others. While operating Remembered Well, I recorded people sharing their life stories. I heard some phenomenal accounts! I interviewed a Rosie the Rivetter, a WWII POW, a former Olympian, business pioneers, people who endured incredible hardship, tragedy, and joy. I’m deeply honored to have heard these stories and been able to preserve them for families. I even wrote a how-to guide entitled “Wisdom is a Gift. A Guide to Preserving Family Stories.” Today, I continue to embrace the power of storytelling through coaching, helping clients reshape their narratives to create the lives they truly want.
