As a senior executive in the health and social services sector for more than twenty years, I have supported organizations in the areas of organizational development, sound governance, corporate affairs, public relations and communications, and leading interdisciplinary teams. During the course of a career that took me from the Centre de santé Saint-Boniface to St. Boniface Hospital by way of the Réseau Compassion Network, I had the opportunity of supporting members of executive teams and board of directors in their strategic planning and the improvement of management processes to optimize the delivery of quality care in a compassionate and timely manner. From 2006 to 2016, I carried out sustainable projects based on compassion and the promotion of health on behalf of organizations providing primary health care in Manitoba and throughout Canada. These projects continue to benefit the community years after their introduction. During that time, I had the privilege of teaching the University of Massachusetts’ “Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction” program, the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion’s “Self-Compassion” program and Stanford University’s “Compassion Cultivation Training”. Involved in the community, I am also a member of the Canadian College of Health Leaders.
