Health And Safety Analyst
Current• Evaluates the overall safety operational procedures of the company. This includes inspecting the facility and equipment to ensure the safety and security of its workers and assets.• Analyzes, interpretes, and presentes data regarding trends and information resulting from audits, inspections, accidents/incidents, and safety-related lagging indicators.• Investigates incidents/accidents. Analyzes evidence, determines root cause, and implements corrective actions/plan.• Manages the Mobile Equipment Program (training, certification, inspections)• Creates/updates the HSMS (Health & Safety Management System) including Safe Operating Procedures (SOP’s), etc.• Creates/updates the Risk Assessment Program, including hazard identification, processes, and controls.• Performes inspections to identify potential hazards and assists in implementing the corrective actions in accordance with regulatory requirements. Documents all data in the HRS (Hazard Reporting System)•Carries out H&S onboarding training for new hires.•Ensures inventory control for Personal Protective Equipment needs. Sends purchase requests to the manager.•Participates in the creation/implementation/updates of the LOTO (Lock Out/Tag Out program.•Monitores and acts upon any reported risks and/or hazards.•Collaborates with the operational team for machine safety.•Creates and updates all safe operating procedures (SOP’S)•Supports the safety manager with the Emergency Response Plan (evacuation drills, training, emergency equipment, etc.).•Offers support in organizing and coordinating the H&S trainings and activities, as required (eg: First Aid Training).•Creates layout and content for the monthly safety newsletter “Safety Zone”.•Promotes safety awareness throughout the organization.•Evaluates and monitors noise levels to ensure compliance.
