Terner Labs scales critical housing innovations at the intersection of equity, affordability, and sustainability. We were founded to compliment the work of the Terner Center for Housing Innovation at UC Berkeley. As Chief Strategy Officer, I lead new program development and growth for Terner Labs. I served as the founding director of the Housing Venture Lab from 2018 - 2022, starting it as a program of the Terner Center and then migrating the initiative to anchor the formation of Terner Labs. Today at Terner Labs we operate three initiatives, the Housing Venture Lab, the Data Solutions Lab and the Builders Lab.

Advising the formation of the Multifamily Impact Council, a collaboration to build the future of impact investing in multifamily housing in the US.

Advising LOCUS' Community Investment Guarantee Pool (CIGP). CIGP is a new $38-million pooled commitment of financial guarantees from leading impact investors and foundations that backs investments in affordable housing, small business and climate change-related projects across America.

Worked closely with the leadership of the Terner Center at UC Berkeley to design and launch the Housing Venture Lab accelerator and the companion nonprofit of the Terner Center, Terner Labs.

Worked with the capital markets team to develop impact evaluation metrics and set impact investing strategy for a startup with new home financing product.

Worked in a temporary position to support JVS by conducting research and program evaluation to inform new program development.

Supported two Kiva partner organizations in establishing innovative microfinancing programs to integrate into Kiva's national fundraising network.

One year Americorps fellowship to support the strategic growth of nonprofit organizations. Contributed to PCV's research team, InSight's, policy research on impact investing; helped evaluate the outcomes from CalPERS (California's Public Employees Pension Fund) equity investments in California; and advised program development for small business lending programs.

Designed statistical evaluations and research methods to inform strategic planning for large urban public school systems.

Knocked on hundreds of doors across the city of Chicago to recruit participants for a longitudinal study on adolescent development in the context of neighborhood violence.

Designed and conducted ethnographic research in partnership with community-based organizations to inform Detroit's municipal funding for housing and community development.
