I hold a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Queensland (Australia), minoring in Child, Youth and Family Studies.My experience includes:-Medical multidisciplinary settings conducting psychosocial assessments, discharge planning and case conferencing-community grassroots practice, ranging from social activism and engagement with young people around key issues, to group therapy with young women experiencing complex PTSD and trauma-related mental health effects.I have operated as a medical receptionist at a multicultural allied health clinic, while maintaining a customer service position and practicing the the everyday micro skills that are neccesary to be an empathic, engaging and emotionally intelligent social worker.I pride myself on my ability to build rapport and engage with individuals from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. I work within a theroretical framework of systems and strengths-based practice, with a focus on collaborative engagement and person-centred practice.
