Junior High Duties: - Teaching beginner woodwind and brass classes (composed of 90% of 6th grade student population)- Directing 7th and 8th grade bands and competing at UIL Concert Contest (March 7th, 2018)- Preparing students for Region 11 ATSSB All-Region auditions (41 auditioned, 26 earned a chair)- Judging ATSSB Middle School All-Region auditions- Providing private lessons on all instruments during advisory period, before and after school- Teaching string bass, guitar, and piano to select students- Teaching a general music class (10% of 6th grade population not in beginner band) - Preparing 6th, 7th, and 8th grade bands for music festivals such at Pirateland Music Festival High School Duties: - Assisting in marching band rehearsals and competitions, including Area South Marching Contest and Bands of America San Antonio Super-Regional- Preparing students for All-State auditions (26 auditioned at Area, 5 made the ATSSB All-State band)- Directing clarinet, tuba, and brass sextet TMEA Honor Band sectionals- Preparing “With Each Sunset” by Richard Saucedo for TMEA 3A Honor Band performance - Judging ATSSB All-Region Jazz, All-Region Band, Area Band, and All-State Chair Auditions- Directing high school non-varsity band rehearsals twice a week- Teaching Applied Music and Music Theory course
