I hold a PhD in African-American/Black Studies, an MSW in Organizational Leadership and Management, and certifications in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies, City Planning, and Executive Leadership in Social Impact Strategy.As the founder and executive director of Sankofa Summer School, I lead a non-traditional community school that provides culturally proficient learning opportunities for high school students and adult learners around the world.
