Senior Meeting Planner
CurrentI accommodate corporate meetings and trade shows by overseeing and strategizing event planning and execution encompassing site selection and negotiations with hotels and other suppliers. I am also tasked with negotiating contracts, logistics and transportation, with additional accountability for authoring RFP's, coordinating offsite vendors and team members, and maintaining meeting data and F&B requirements. In turn, I coordinate 20 events per year for staff, BOD, and stockholders while also providing resource arrangements for events ranging from small-scale business meetings to large-scale industry conferences for up to 2K+ attendees.While employed in this role, I:* Executed a strategy to deliver a first-ever virtual conference during the COVID-19 pandemic (with oversight for networking, education, trade show, and commerce).* Spearheaded an EAP increasing overall safety and emergency management.* Completed exhibit floor modifications enabling timelier change orders correlating with new interactive software.* Assumed duties as an appointed meeting planner for six (6)consecutive years following layoffs in 2008, subsequently saving company labor costs for one (1) FTE.* Gained experience in projecting, managing, and finalizing $1-850K event budgets
