• Managing and coordinating an audit team. • Liaising with clients, audit staff and audit partners. • Assisting to manage and develop the Practice as a whole.• Preparation and review of annual financial statements and consolidated annual financial statements in terms of International Financial Reporting Standards, International Financial Reporting Standards for Small and Medium-size Entities, Companies Act, Johannesburg Stock Exchange Listing Requirements and International Standards on Auditing.• Risk management.• Involved in the daily management of the business unit, i.e. optimal planning of staff members and generation of fee income.• Responsible for the final delivery of a completed audit to the audit partner. This would include the following:- Planning of the audit – timing, budget preparations, staff requirements and liaison with the client management, risk assessment;- Review of the audit work performed by the audit team, discussion of audit findings with the audit partner, report on audit findings to management and audit committee;- Finalisation of audit reports, reports to audit committee members, reports to management, reports to other auditors, preparation and review of the annual financial statements;- Discussion and finalisation of fees with the partner and clients.• Preparation of audit committee documents, attendance and presentation of the audit findings to the audit committee • Enhancing and developing client relationships, managing budgets, investment in work in progress and debtors.• Counselling manager for a number of trainees. This involves a twice-annual performance feedback and goal setting session and continuous coaching and mentoring of the trainees.• Attendance of accounting, auditing, tax and ethical updates to ensure continuous professional development
